New Soundfont specifically for the M42

Hi M42 users,

I've just finished what I think is a great version for the M42 of our Zvon Horn 02 soundfont.

I made it because I had huge CPU spikes loading our regular soundfont in the M42. After some extensive testing of different soundfonts, I'm pretty sure that the M42 prefers soundfonts that have looping points and ours have none.

So I designed one and I got carried away and made some creative looping :hihi: and designed it so it sounds great in the M42.

I'm very happy with the results. I just sent a copy to Tim. I'm not sure yet how this product will join our line of products but one thing is sure, it will not be expensive (well none of our products are expensive).

But for now I'm willing to give for free 2 or 3 copies to some users of the M42. This is not a contest, it's more like beta testing and presets designing. All those interested should email me and don't hesitate to sell yourself. I'm looking for people who know well the M42 Nebula and can design presets (well a few).

Note that I may not respond to the emails and decide who gets the copies before a few days but I will keep an eye on this thread.

Thank you

You're welcome Tim.

I forgot to mention that the free copies are for registered users.

Tim,

Can you confirm the problem of unlooped sf2 causing hiccups in M42?

The problem did not occur every time on my system but fairly regularly though. It happened with our soundfonts and also with others. The spikes always occured after the sound had finished playing and when holding the keys, I had disabled all the FX. Seemed like the M42 was trying to loop the sample anyway as sometimes it would even start to play again. In the same soundfont some sounds were more likely to exhibit this problem than others.

I'm curious to know if any other users experienced this. We have free demos of our soundfonts (the unlooped ones) on our website if anyone wants to test them.

I've been playing with this SF2 in M42, and it sounds great! Lots of unusual textures, and not just horn sounds of course...very full bodied pads and also leads can be had. This is a good extra sound set for the M42. Looking forward to more developement.
