App looks cool, but id rather invest in something genuine.
Thank you for the comment.

My background is that I am a "real" software engineer with decades of experience.

I have a lot to say about AI (good and bad), and I would love to discuss it in detail. Although perhaps this is a wrong forum for that..

I would estimate right now AI writes 95% of the new code. So if you hate or distrust AI, logically you cannot use any new software anymore. And that percentage will be 99.999% in an year or so (also my prediction).

Im trying out Sandyne on a MAC. There is a lot I like but one of the first things I noticed is that Sandyne cannot differentiate between MIDI Effect plugins and Instrument plugins. If you try to put any MIDI effect (that is not built in) in front of an instrument, the instrument is replaced by the MIDI effect. Example MIDI effects include Harmony Bloom, HY-MPS3 and EON-Arp.

Hi, thank you for the comment!

You are right, this is something that I haven't considered before. I'll investigate this more.

There is now a new version 0.9.9.8 available.

I'd like to dedicate this release to benedict, who gave good and detailed feedback. Part of his findings are fixed now, such as:

- Ghost note view support
- CTRL/Cmd drag copies clips
- Middle C naming option
- Pianoroll multitool can be configured (not perfect yet)
- Standard note values (1/4 etc.)
- mixer: VU/LUFS/RMS metering
- Greatly improved Undo system
- Synth: move "detune" knob after "octave"

Other new things:

- Quick setup on startup
-GPU mode (experimental)
- Ambient instrument requires now note to produce output
- Mixer collapse all support
- FPS on/off option
- Metronome settings added
- Individual track audio export

And the usual visual and performance improvements, and many bugfixes.
