This is what I got: Ozone will leave FL Cloud on 16-08-2026. After this date, it switches to read-only – your saved settings and existing projects won't be affected, but you won't be able to make new edits. I'm assuming that date is European, so 8/16. That's at least a month. Misread it.

and some of us are willing to pay what something costs, if that something has potential value for us. pretty simpledayjob wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 4:49 pm logged in to Izotope to see loyalty price for latest music production suite. saw price. laughed. logged out.

i hear you. i’m willing to pay what i think it’s worth and i want to support developers. but after this circus of the last few years the upgrade price is a joke for that bundle after i’ve invested a lot of money in izotope over the years and have legacy products i liked using get dropped and relegated to an old computer for when the need strikes.fisherKing wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 9:55 pmand some of us are willing to pay what something costs, if that something has potential value for us. pretty simpledayjob wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 4:49 pm logged in to Izotope to see loyalty price for latest music production suite. saw price. laughed. logged out.
that being said. .there’s a path back to reasonable update prices especially when said products only have incremental bits added to the bundle... and they are not on that path.

The Izotope Music Production Suite upgrade was reasonable last year, at least for me. But yes, if those upgrade prices will become high I just wait a couple of years between upgrade.

That’s what I’ve been doing. I think I have v6. Upgrade price is $459.ksandvik wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2026 6:45 am The Izotope Music Production Suite upgrade was reasonable last year, at least for me. But yes, if those upgrade prices will become high I just wait a couple of years between upgrade.
I own some of the other products separately so the offer doesn’t make a lot of sense. Main updates would be rx, ozone and neutron. Current versions I own work on my os and I’m not worried about it. If I’m going to spend that kind of money it’s going elsewhere. The updates to those three products are incremental at best.

Wait until October, you might get a better upgrade price then (that's what I did).

we know nothing of what goes on behind the scenes with a developer, but it's their business, they can do what they like, charge what they like (or need).dayjob wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2026 1:00 ami hear you. i’m willing to pay what i think it’s worth and i want to support developers. but after this circus of the last few years the upgrade price is a joke for that bundle after i’ve invested a lot of money in izotope over the years and have legacy products i liked using get dropped and relegated to an old computer for when the need strikes.fisherKing wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 9:55 pmand some of us are willing to pay what something costs, if that something has potential value for us. pretty simpledayjob wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 4:49 pm logged in to Izotope to see loyalty price for latest music production suite. saw price. laughed. logged out.

hopefully, they listen to their user base; they need us. but i don't spend time stressing about these things, there's work to do. so i find the tools i need and dive in.
but whatever works for someone else works. and they are always alternative apps...

It's the ISO format. The USA is one of only three countries to use the unintuitive middle Endian format. Nobody else uses it - it's the aberration, not the other way around. Everyone else either uses ISO or DD/MM/YY (most will understand and often use both, only the US format is ambiguous and likely to be misunderstood).osiris wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 5:49 pm This is what I got: Ozone will leave FL Cloud on 16-08-2026. However, because the US likes to do things differently, best practices is to write out the month in dates in English.

Trust me, I was in school when they tried to switch us to the metric system. It did not go well.

I know. Multiplying by 10 is too much for Americansosiris wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2026 4:16 pm Trust me, I was in school when they tried to switch us to the metric system. It did not go well.

yes of course. it is what it is. just venting here.. which is half of what this site is right? i’m thankful i don’t know what is going on behind the scenes of every developer big/small. there are alternate tools thankfully and if something is crucial to my workflow that’s one thing but when it isn’t then i’m not going to worry too much about it.. but what’s interesting is by being sort of hostile w/upgrade prices they kind of guarantee that their product moves out of focus and becomes 2nd tier or 3rd tier in my workflow and no matter what they add to it or how they improve it, which, let’s be honest here, they aren’t blowing anyone’s minds w/the added features, they don’t inspire me to upgrade with such an outlay of cash.. especially in this economyfisherKing wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2026 3:08 pmdayjob wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2026 1:00 ami hear you. i’m willing to pay what i think it’s worth and i want to support developers. but after this circus of the last few years the upgrade price is a joke for that bundle after i’ve invested a lot of money in izotope over the years and have legacy products i liked using get dropped and relegated to an old computer for when the need strikes.fisherKing wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 9:55 pmand some of us are willing to pay what something costs, if that something has potential value for us. pretty simpledayjob wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 4:49 pm logged in to Izotope to see loyalty price for latest music production suite. saw price. laughed. logged out.
