I was watching the walkthrough and it seems like a pretty cool synth focused on making effects and atmospheric stuff rather easily, and with scale locking it will sound in tune without having to do much adjusting.
One big move and a few lfo here an there and voilà, you get a decent ambience.
I can see it as a fun/hassle free tool for beginners or those who don't like to dive at all in effects rack and automations.

Not something i need, Meld does beautiful ambiences rather effortlessly too for instance with scale awareness and mpe.

Still would like to see fm9 someday (or FM X :D cursed naming at this point)

Edit: Oh and reading others comments, i too am glad that its not a sample pack released as "a software synth".

No it's not. Their reputation has already been demolished and I don't trust the company to support anything for long.

Weren't they talking about releasing some of the popular reaktor synths as standalone vsts last year? Maybe this is a reaktor synth under teh hood released as VST?

For you, perhaps. But you don’t speak for everyone.

There have been nothing interesting to me since komplete 12.
The vst market is so saturated now that i don't know what NI could release that is not simillar to what is already out on the market now.

They should focus on keeping their released products updated and maybe improve some of them where it is needed :)

The only thing i can think of, is a workstation synth. Which they don't have. A la Falcon.
Apart from that; yeah...fm8 update, Reaktor update, battery update.......get those back into the present day

Totally agree.
Beginning by having Native Access (NTKDaemon) not asking for Rosetta on M chip equipped Mac.
It’s years now since Apple Silicon appeared and Rosetta won’t even be available on the next macOS update just around the corner!

They do already have one (Kontakt) which is the Industry standard with plenty of sounds so not sure what they could release that would be any better than that.

+ There are already many of them on the market now from various companies.

Which is why I stated as such, but I noticed you selectively quoted my comment. Nice try!

How do its supersaws compare to Dune's?
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

I see kontakt as a sampler. It has only generators for wavetables and samples (which are kind of the same). They don't have a Falcon like workstation

As well as performers in all kinds of genres like R & B, Soul, Pop etc.

But for this particular thing, I really can't think of any synth concept that could be less interesting. It's too bad their re-entry into the non-reaktor synth plugin market was so meh.
It looks and sounds fine to me, I think this strikes me like a lot of their synths as of late as another offer to get someone like me to upgrade my Komplete when it's added into that package, and that's fine. I seriously have never been able to figure out the KVR gripe algorithm? 10-15 years ago Arturia was trashed every time they released anything, and NI could do no wrong. Now NI can do nothing right. I get being upset that NI have issues changing their GUIs for modern screens, but not to the point to where everything they do is garbage.

Yeah. At the moment NI and Cherry are the two getting pounded whatever they release. I wonder what will be next. Probably not u-he.
J60 Heatwave for Omnisphere 3 - Juno-60 Inspired soundbank
HARDWARE SAMPLER FANATIC - Akai S1100/S950/Z8 - Casio FZ20m - Emu Emax I - Ensoniq ASR10/EPS

What, a fair and balanced view? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! :hihi:

InMusic is well positioned to make a really kick ass workstation plugin that would sell very well

They could use could use Reaktor strictly as the low-level DSP engine powering the workstation

The front end of the workstation would look clean and modern (like Massive X). However, clicking an "Advanced" tab would let power users open up the Reaktor panel if they choose

Regular users get a streamlined, fast workstation workflow. Sound designers get the ability to dive into the core macros, rewriting the math behind the filters, oscillators, and effects from scratch.

A new workstation could feature a dedicated "Modular Zone." Users could drag and drop official Reaktor Blocks. It would instantly bridge the gap between fixed-architecture workstations and modular synthesis. You could modulate a Reaktor granular module using the workstation's global envelopes

NI could then use Reaktor to build a meta-workstation wrapper. Think of this as an evolution of Komplete Kontrol, but inside a single plugin. Reaktor's primary engine would act as a hyper-efficient container that loads lighter, optimized DSP versions of Massive X, Kontakt, FM8 and Monark all on one canvas, with unified macros, routing, and cross-modulation.

I think that would sell very well. Even I would buy it
