Im noticing something else: when I start up a new project in any DAW (cubase, bitwig) and add a new instance of Falcon, Falcon wants to reindex ALL library items, and I have most of the entire sonic bundle installed so this takes a few minutes. I have to sit and wait before some of my libraries are available, over and over again.

Is there some way to make Falcon STOP reindexing unchanged library locations?? Sometimes, if Im not mistaken, it reindexes after just project close/reopen, but I need to do more testing.

That should be the default behavior so it looks like a bug.
Mac or PC ? automount is off or on ?

Thanks !

I verified it: its doing this every time I start up a project now. I created a new project last night, loaded an instance of Falcon, waited for the indexing, worked on the project for a few hours, closed it. Woke up today, opened it, and Falcon is re-indexing the whole library right now.

This is win11 (sadly lol) PC, all libraries are on a fast SSD. Automount is enabled.

Are you sure you are using the latest Falcon version (26.0.6) because it looks like something I already fixed

Same issue here.

Falcon 26.0.6 x64
Reaper V7.55
Windows 11 Pro 25H2

Right pain slowly shows librarie's icon one by one, and need 1 to 2 minutes to complete.
Is it scanning?

similar setup but Reaper 7.77 and no problem - nothing worse than a problem that only affects your setup and a few others.

Do you really mean indexing in terms of collecting presets with tags in database or do you mean collecting and listing libraries in the soundbanks folder, because second seems to be normal behaviour.

I'll have a look. you can try to unttogle automount in the soundbank pref panel in the meantime

Thanks for the reply! Ill try disabling automount to see how this changes the behavior.

Something is broken in Dual Delay X in the latest Falcon version 26.0.6, turn up wet mix to 100% to clearly hear level dropouts sounding like some sort of ducking gone wrong, I had been wondering over the last few days what was wrong. What on earth did you do to this iteration of Falcon? :help:

The Analog Tape Delay is also broken when set to SYNC mode, none of the displayed sync values work, all you hear is a metallic ringing of the 3rd kind.

Replacing Dual Delay X with the old legacy version of Dual Delay fixes the issue so it's clearly related to the X version.

@Simon now fixed on my end. It's a regression when we have merge some codebase when working on Rumble. Sorry about that

You should invest into automated testing that lets you know when you break something. Running MIDI through a variety of patches and checking the result against a reference shouldn't be too difficult to set up.
