Why in God's name are we resurrecting a 12 year old thread for a synth that isn't even sold anymore.

Occassionalyl a necro-thread gets blessed and resurected. I think its appropriate that be a thread about Wolfgang's synths. We are all hoping something comes of them...wagtunes wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 3:09 am Why in God's name are we resurrecting a 12 year old thread for a synth that isn't even sold anymore.

I miss his synths... I would be happy to pay full price for a new and up to date version.plexuss wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 4:43 amOccassionalyl a necro-thread gets blessed and resurected. Somebody would have to take them over. I agree. His synths were unique. I'm very grateful that I have them all.pdxindy wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 8:01 pmI miss his synths... One of my biggest regrets is not getting hold of Imagine before they went down. I have it on iPad but the desktop version is more powerful. I hope one day PA or NI will update them, maybe less likely though now NI is having problems.

I agree completely, about old threads, and this topic in particular, But, at least change the name so that i'm not having a rush of 'hopeful' when i click on the title.plexuss wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 4:43 amOccassionally a necro-thread gets blessed and resurrected. I have the ones I wanted, but there is no native Apple Silicon version so they are toast.wagtunes wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 8:12 pm

I spoke with Native a lot during press briefings to bring the PPG apps back. So far: nope. Sadly, some of the newer employees didn't even know that they had them in the drawer for a long time. I don't give up.aMUSEd wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 10:16 pm One of my biggest regrets is not getting hold of Imagine before they went down. I have it on iPad but the desktop version is more powerful. So now that PluginAlliance went back to the original founder, does that mean that rights to these synths went with them and may one day be brought back? Is Brainworx part of pluginalliance in that change of ownership?
Hopefully the Wolfgang Palm synths will be revived!

These hopes are very slim. Even when Dirk Ulrich was still there in the beginning of the NI takeover, there was no effort to bring back the plugins. They just incorporated a few features here and there into other plugins.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2026 2:49 pm So now that PluginAlliance went back to the original founder, does that mean that rights to these synths went with them and may one day be brought back? Oh I thought when it was announced that they bought the synths that they were going to continue them. So I always figured it was when NI bought PA that things changed. Weird that PA would buy them just to let them die.MillerSam wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2026 2:56 pmThese hopes are very slim. No, they didn't have plan to update them. Talked with them plenty of times and re-asked them when there would be updates. One of the last talks when they owned by NI was: oh really we have PPG apps in our portfolio.
