I think it would be cool to have some kind of slice offset so you can start a loop from a different slice.
Also in Seq mode it would be cool if you could quantize the triggers to the grid.
For example if you drag the midi file to a track there are certain beats that are naturally off the grid (which is fine) but it would be cool to be able to force that within the sequencer.
To be honest it's not a big deal because I can do that from within the DAW sequencer.
The previously mentioned sample trimming, manual slice entry and mousewheel/trackpad zoom for the slicer would be cool.
I've also come across an issue a number of times where I can't select things from a menu like synth type.

I'll get to work
a bit slower cause I'm on a holiday in Spain. Thanks for the feedback. I still recommend to use recycle at this point

4.2.2 is up — the slicer got a loop selector.
loop brackets. you can now drag out a region in the slicer, reaper-style, and only those slices play — works on both rex files and wavs you slice inside beatforge. it's non-destructive, so you can move the selection around any time. the excluded slices actually disappear from the sequencer view (not just greyed out), the midi renumbers so your selection starts on C1, and dragging the midi out to your daw exports only the selected part. drag anywhere in the strip under the waveform to make a selection, grab an edge to nudge it, click once to clear back to the full loop. snaps to slice boundaries, hold shift for free positioning.
slicer bits. ctrl+click adds or deletes slice markers, mousewheel/trackpad zooms in around the cursor, and slice edits are undoable now.
fixes. two annoying ones i finally tracked down: menus that wouldn't stick sometimes (picking a synth or a sample and it'd snap back), and knobs jumping back to their old value while a pattern played. both fixed. also sliced tracks and loop selections now restore properly when you reopen a project.
beatforge.nl — feedback welcome as always.
