In Whole mode (one layer across the whole keyboard) a side-by-side view would leave half the GUI doing nothing, so it's not something I'm planning. The panel's dense enough as it is, and the layout is meant to resemble the PG-800, which is a single-panel editor by design. I'm not redoing the whole GUI at this point.

Please kindly use the ticket system on my website for questions, as I am not constantly monitoring forum threads.

Will you be adding waveform graphics to the switches, etc?

So is your “accurate observation” comparing this synth, to a different synth, that’s also a digital emulation (TAL), but of a different synth?

I have a JX-8P which I use more than any other synth in my arsenal, I have the PG-800 right here on my desk, I also have the JX-08. I’ve used PG-8X more than any soft synth, and now have moved on to TAL’s. The observation of the OSC’s attack being “lasery” is an observation based on my knowledge of the hardware, and I didn’t need to listen to any software emulations to identify this. So essentially, I loaded Morphoice’s, heard the zippy attack, and knew the hardware did not do that.

I’m not sure why you seem so defensive about this.

I can understand that you don't want to redo the gui assuming the amount of work. But what set the jx10 apart and made the jx10 great was the dual layer. The pg800 is annoying because you have to think all the time what layer you are editing. A computer is no pg800, so a fold out dual layer mode could fix that.

I'm sure it could, but as you know, the JX-10 was also controlled by a PG-800 and I have no intentions of making a PG-1600. It's simply not up for debate. Please kindly use the ticket system on my website for further questions, as I am not constantly monitoring forum threads.

Morphoice wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2026 4:15 pm P.S. The final release will probably land today or tomorrow. The $10 offer then ends and the betas will be pulled.
As I stated in my last post, I could not get EightyTen to run without immediately crashing and getting shut off by Studio One. I am on mac (Apple Silicon). Has this issue been addressed? Have you tested across Studio (One) Pro and the other major DAWs on both macOS and Windows?

There is absolutely zero chance that your plugin is ready to come out of beta. You literally coded it a week ago, and you're still adding features. Your release candidate needs at least a few weeks of rigorous testing across all platforms and DAWs that you are going to support. You need to slow down and do it right.

Oh, because I’m a shill… (according to a delusional old man, sorry Jamcat)

But seriously… I missed your point, my bad!

I know what codesigning is for. Without it, I'm not protected from potentially malicious software. And here we have an unsigned plugin from a developer who popped up out of nowhere with an unknown reputation who is making claims that don't quite add up and is being flip and cagey in his answers, yet oddly specific about all the malicious things he says his software doesn't do. So of course I'm going to approach it with extreme caution.

I won't buy it until I can run a codesigned version that doesn't crash on my system. If it's good, then I don't mind paying $49. That's still cheap for a high quality synth plugin, without unfairly undercutting other developers whose livelihoods depend on software sales.

Hmm. That is a bit optimistic, the documentation states:
Code signing is a macOS security technology that you use to certify that an app was created by you. Once an app is signed, the system can detect any change to the app—whether the change is introduced accidentally or by malicious code.

It does not protect you from malware from the developer. Only from changes on your own system. There is malware in the official OS stores, on any platform. And in practice codesigning systems have been spoofed on multiple occasions by people creating malware.
It's a useful technology, but it's benefit should not be overstated.

With all due respect, malware protection should be the least of your concerns — especially since code-signing doesn't actually protect you from malware. It only tells you who signed the file and that it hasn't been modified. What you should instead be concerning yourself with is this: MANNERS MAKETH MEN!

You do realize there's a way to voice criticism constructively and without defamation, don't you? You also know you're not in a position to dictate how others run their business or what demands they ought to meet. Being kind and nice is actually an option!

Yet here you are — entitled, dismissive, and utterly devoid of respect for the very people whose work you claim to rely on. Funny thing, though: we've yet to hear a single piece of music from you, or see any product you made with the pristine perfection and flawlessness you so demand from others. All you ever produce is hate. But I suppose that's none of my business.

This isn't the first time you've been called out on this behavior — many have pointed it out across many threads. The only reason you talk the way you do is the anonymity of a keyboard. In person? You wouldn't last five minutes without finding yourself in deep trouble.

Honestly? I'd rather you take your business elsewhere than ever touch anything I make. Your input adds nothing of value, it's frequently wrong, and its only purpose seems to be stirring up drama. So here's a friendly request: stay out of my threads, move along, and don't expect any service from me — because you won't get it. I'll be ignoring you from now on.

And as a practical note: if you actually had bugs or legitimate issues, you'd know where to find me — the ticket system on my website. I don't live on these forums, and anything posted here will likely go unnoticed. But then again, you know that perfectly well. And that's precisely why you choose to constantly post here. Not to help, not to improve anything — just to cause trouble.

Why does the thread title still claim this is free?
Maybe if you didn't constantly try to deceive, you would get more respect.

"I haven't heard any music from you, your statements are invalid" is about the dumbest thing you can post on these forums. You've done it to multiple people, now.

Also, nobody is demanding perfection.

We would get a less lot unnecessary drama on this forum if you could just take yourself a little less serious and stop acting like you are the defender of the faith. In your own crusade.
Lighten up, think before you post. Maybe you would get more respect.
