I created a 1 measure (4/4) bass phrase in the phrase editor by playing it in via midi. I saved it under 'edited'. When I add it to the composition it does not conform to the master track chords. I have chord relative selected in the editor. What am I doing wrong?

the note itself is absolute, you have to convert it to relative.

Thanks! Is there a way to create/enter and save a phrase such that the notes are set as relative or does one always have to enter the phrase and then convert it to relatve?

I have been trying to use the manual but that has been slow going. I'll just need to spend more time with it.

Anytime new midi is imported it is always absolute. So, you will always have to convert them to relative. Once you convert it, if you add that phrase to the phrase browser, it will be relative and available for re-use.

When you open the phrase dialog (right click a phrase) the gear cog has the converters about the middle of the menu.

I will have to look, but, I want to say there used to be a way of doing this in a batch, if needed, but, I forget.
