O see that in order for this to work, the app has to be open. Once you close it, what you recorded in your DAW doesn't make sound anymore.

So...what if I have a project with 6 instances of this thing? If you can only 1 app open and only 1 preset loaded, how do you create a song using multiple patches?
you don't, and that is not really the idea.
- you can if you record channels then sure.
- you can by using the bridge as a funnel to write complex ideas in DevOcean and trigger/record them to your DAW.

This is a full application, that gives you multiple entry points, one of them being a DAW bridge funnel.

I don't want to commit to details, but there are items on the roadmap that will allow you to bring individual patches to a multi plugin workflow in your DAW (what you described).

Cool. Not a big problem. I can load an instance. Load a patch. Record the part and then render it to audio. Rinse and repeat.

I am going to be getting this. Before I do, how do I connect to the community patch library in order to download additional patches, as there aren't many that come with the demo? I'm asking because while I have programmed several modular synths (Softtube, Cherry Audio, MuLab, KarnaFXx and others, the print on these modules is so tiny that with my eyes at my age, I'll never be able to program this thing. So a full library of patches would be nice.

Well wait a minute :) There are a whole bunch that come with it already. I'm counting 20+ synth designs, another 20 or some instrument modules set up as synths, another 20+ noodles, effects..... but yes more coming.

The online area is simple, just be logged in to your Ocean Swift account and you can upload.

People making things, and sound designers and others getting to a point where they even sell patches and sounds for this is on their own platforms is of course something we would love to see.

Thanks. Okay, I'll be diving into this as soon as my next check comes in. Have a bit of a cash flow problem right now but shouldn't be too long.

Awesome! Hope you have creative fun. Development is full on, this is basically along with Sound Creator Suite the two products we are moving forward with, with full commitment.

Unlike say a Kontakt instrument, smaller tool or preset pack, for us its not just "hey all check out a cool modular" as a product, but also our avenue for our sound design moving forward.

TLDR - insane amounts of content coming, all our content focus shifts to content for this.

You are always welcome to jump on our Discord server to follow along development, report bugs, ask for features etc.

What does your app offer in comparisson to the alternatives?
130 bucks is a bold claim so I would like to know what you think yours does more and better than e.g. VCV Rack?
Does it run as a VST plugin?
Does it sound better than VCV Rack?
Does it use less CPU?
Can it host other VSTs?
These questions precede a possible demo phase.

Most of the actual non subjective questions are answered in the original post, the web page or one of the promo videos, easy if you spend about one minute.

Does it sound better than X Y Z? Your opinion, grab the demo, listen, decide. We're not kids and we know what serious sound is supposed to be, your call to make though.

Does it use less CPU than X Y X? In which context, with who, for what?

Can it host VST? - no.
Does it run as a VST plugin? - not exactly, one flow available others coming. will it literally ever be a plugin in itself - no.

This interview gives good answers to what our thinking is, maybe that question is meta answered there for you, have a look - https://skvt.cz/blog/947-yaron-eshkar-d ... -mladsi-ja

The TLDR is probably something like - it is about if you vibe with our way of thinking about sound and how to be creative with it.
