ok, I will answer the Sequoia concern first .. just spent the last 2 and bit hours digging through, upgrading my mac to 15.7 to see if i could replicate the issue.. there was a issue with the packaging of the DMG, which seemed to be kind of specific to certain machines, just not my my intel 13.x machine, my m4 15.1 and then 15.7.7 and my m5 macbook pro running 26.4.x .. anyway, it was a small issue which has been patched.
Please do contact me if you have these issues as testing every platform and every permutation of hardware is hard..
As for midi.
Chopgrid runs as a audio effect as you are unable to route audio through a instrument. to run it as a midi instrument, set up a midi channel and you can direct the midi to the chopgrid channel. Same way you would with Stutter Edit for example.
It was a choice i had to make, otherwise it would have been two seperate plugins like Serum does, one for synth/chopping and another just for effects routing.

Version 1.0.27 VST3 still has folder creation/write issues on Tahoe. Registered version doesn't recall anything on Ableton Live 12.4.3 session load. Not the chops, nor the plugin settings..
