Question for all Komplete Kontrol Mk3 users

Just got a Novation SL and am taking it back cause the aftertouch and key velocity response is terrible. Looking at swapping it for the Kontrol.
My question is how does the fatar play? Can you play with a good amount of dynamics, or is it very light and have a decent amount of weight, is there good depth in the key stroke. Mostly, is the aftertouch hard to push down, does it have a good dynamic range or is it just note on and off?
I cant try it out at the store cause they dont bloody have it in any of them! So, like the Novation, I have to order it and hope for the best.
To compare, my last KB was Akai mpk2 and before that, novation Impulse (which btw, had better action than their so called "flagship")

Aftertouch is stiff, just like the Impulse. You have to press the hell out of it and there's no dynamic range. I assume, given the Kontrol's main feature is polyphonic aftertouch, that it would be much smoother.
I dont recommend SL to anyone who want's to actually play keyboard. If you wanna trigger things, then go for it. Pretty hard to play anything with feel.

I have the S88 MK3 and find the poly aftertouch to be well-graded overall and easy to trigger. In fact, I set the threshold for aftertouch relatively high so as to not accidentally trigger it (it was easy to . The keyboard plays well otherwise, overall. Like most keyboards (for me), I can too easily overcome the top of the dynamic range. Soft touch is nice, and I want 128 velocity to require more velocity than the keyboard can handle. But I'm a piano player.

I found the aftertouch reasonable on the synth-weighted MK3s, but I haven't played them too much.
