Hi all!

I wanted to share a plugin I've been building. Meow Seq is a MIDI sequencer plugin inspired by Eurorack-style sequencer setups. It's combining ten sequencers and lets you shape timing, note heights, offsets, ratchets and more into one combined MIDI output.

A few of you found it here on KVR and helped nudge me towards creating a proper introduction so more people can find it. Thank you for that, really appreciate it!

The plugin itself is hand written in C++ with JUCE. I started making it about a year ago, and as stated in the title there is a 50% July sale going on.

By the way, some people asked about an AU version which has now been released for the Logic people out there. (Be aware that this version is a MIDI effect AU and will only work in some AU hosts like Logic. The rest of you should use the VST3 version)

If you have any feedback or questions I would be very happy to answer them here!

Welcome Carlos! Great sequencer imo, thanks very much :tu:

Thank you that means a lot😊 Have you found any good workflows for it? I'm thinking about possibly creating an iPad version to use for live sets and jamming next.

I bought Meow Seq and it really is quite unique and great value

Hi people! I've been working on the 1.1 release of Meow Seq. I'm adding 3 new features and would love to get some feedback. All the features have been requested by users, and they are ready to be shipped. But if you have any new ideas or opinions I am ready to make changes.

I have already contacted a few people for testing, but if you also want to help, more testers are very welcome!

The new features at a glance:
  • New randomization button and range slider, for randomizing values.
  • New scale tab, for setting scales.
  • Increased MIDI mapping capabilities. You can now control almost the entire plugin via MIDI.
The video below is me explaining all the new features so you don’t have to read a long manual to get into it. Thanks again for your interest!

You will definitely get feedback and I will have a lot of questions.

Okay, here's my first question.

Purchased. Demo is activated. How do I activate the full license or is this automatic? In my user area it says 1 of 3 licenses activated.

Next question. I already figured out how to use this as far as each sequencer. Now, you can only have 1 going at a time. So in order to switch from one to another you hit the buttons. Is there a way to record automation of this process? I'm assuming yes. Just want to check.

Excellent :) When you purchase the full license from the webpage, the plugin should be activated automatically the next time you open it. You can also do a offline license if you don't want the plugin to "call home".

All the ten sequencers are running at the same time, you just choose which one you are viewing/adjusting at any given time. They all work together to form one single MIDI output. I don't know if that answers your question. You can automate the switching of the tabs though, if you click the MIDI icon in the lower right. This reveals green squares which you can click and then map to MIDI notes, pads etc.
