Pan-Oh!-Rama v1.0 Out Now!

Pan-Oh!-Rama is an LFO driven modulation plugin that can be used as an Auto-Panner/Tremolo/Dual Filter. All in all there are 6 LFO's using 18 waveshapes and 6 different filtertypes. Pan-Oh!-Rama comes in a mono and a stereo version which allows you to save resources. Presets are compatible between both versions. There's also a full manual included describing the parameters and giving tips on how to use the plugin.

Here's a snapshot:

Oh jesus christ, they do like one network upgrade a year on my host and I manage to release the beta 10 minutes earlier. Heh, so sorry. Hopefully everything will be up and working soon.

eagerly anticipating :)

I managed to get it :) If you'd like I can mirror it for you, I've got a whole lot of space that would be burning a hole in my pocket if it wasn't free

Anyway, I've had a play around with it, and it's actually quite good ... You can get some interesting sequence effects with it. I haven't been playing with it long, so I'm not completely familiar with it, but I like what I see so far :)

edit: nevermind, it seems to be back online now

I uploaded a new version that was just slightly changed. Fixed two small bugs. One was that the tremolo had a faulty value which meant it never cut the audio compeltely and the other was just finetuning the filters. I also added a few more presets.

I've replaced the old one with the new one.

Wow! You people are so talkative :)

Remind me to never ever release something around NAMM ;)

Anywho, I've got some new ideas cooking. Would people want Pan-Oh!-Rama to be a proper stereo effect? Or would you want it to be a low cpu mono effect? Also, would it be helpful to have 2 extra LFO's and some better routing. Perhaps dual filters if I go mono?

Nothing is impossible, well ehhh, almost... But I want to keep it cheap on the cpu side and useable with not too many parameters. Comments would be very appreciated.

Oh and is it useful for anyone? It could do some pretty neat Trance Gate sounding thingies, but it also allows for panning and filter control which could be useful.

Add an editable LFO which can sync to 1/64th -> 1 bar or something and I'm game :) (for sequenced gatings etc)
Also, I always want stereo :)

Post

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but it can do 64th's -> 4bars and everything in between, 8th dotted, 16th triplet and so on. And they sure as heck Sync. Ah well, I'll talk to you on ICQ when I get home ;)

Hehe. Well, I'll tell you right here anyway, just in case just about everybody misunderstood me.
With editable LFO I mean something like the LFO's in shortcircuit or the wave sequencer in wusikstation or something. Preferably the former.

Maj: I had a dream about and LFO sequencer plugin the other night. Allow me to share it as a creative consultant!! :D

Ok. So there are 8 (or 16??) lfo "channels"

Each channel has a waveform selector, a rate, a sync button, and whatever else you might like - but I dreamt that it only had simple controls - like the Subtractor LFO 1 in Reason.

Anyway.. these 8 (or 16) don't all play individually. Because there is also a master section, and this master section controls the rate of "cycling" through the LFO's.

The idea is that LFO 1 might be able to play for a bar, then at the end of its cycle, instead of looping, it would skip along to LFO 2, that would then do its cycle, and then skip along to LFO 3, and so on.

Thus it would create quite a unique brand of LFO, because the waveform would be changing with each channel, but also the rates would be able to change too - creating some weird modulation sources.

What do you think???

Oh.. One of those, well that would be interesting. Would demand some custom modules though, or rather a custom GUI module. Don think there's a smart way to edit it atm. You could end up with 16-32 standard sliders that you need to pull which would just be horrible. Hmm, would be cool with a module that worked like a slider but did mouse tracking and changed the value from a simple click. I could always go crying to Jeff and the likes and hope they eventually release something like that ;)

I don't have a problem with 16 sliders as long as they are of the right width (not taking up a lot of space and still easily clickable)

Really Good Effect!
Thanks for sharing

Hey Majken,
I just did this small tune with Pan-oh!-Rama in EnergyXT:

Here is the the mp3 and the .ext project.

Plugins involved:
- ORGANized trio
- FMHeaven (demo)
- Andreas Eerson's Polyiblit
- UGO's String Theory
- E-Phonic Drumatic3
- E-Phonic RetroDelay
- Effectizer
- Pan-Oh!-Rama (2)

(My poor Athlon was about to blow up!)

This is the wiring diagram:

Everything played and improvised in real time while the MidiPart module played the drum loop.

Hope you enjoy :)
