I have no idea what they've done with it, if anything, but I bought my upgrade simply to show my support; not necessarily to Boris but to anyone who makes an effort to champion this once legendary piece of software.

How do we know what to not confuse it with when we don't have a link to the correct ACID?
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs

ACID DJ (8 tracks) was the first piece of music software I ever played around with in 1999.
Amazing to see the GUI & Mixer have not changed since then. :hihi:

In the announcement, I wish BorisFX had said something about legacy bugs being fixed. In at least one announcement for Samplitude, they did mention something about improvements and optimizations.

Maybe we need to check the Magix forums to see if any people there have been testing the new version for bugfixes.

Aside from that, it seems that Acid Pro might now be decoupled from the Magix SoundPool system, where people could buy loop packs and even get a bunch of them for free with the DAW, but then have to pay an additional fee to use them commercially.

Pretty faithful emulation, if you ask me..

I loved Acid. Back in the CD era, I used to make a lot of DJ mixes in it, made electro and industrial stuff for metal bands and producing drones was pure pleasure. I always treated ACID as groovebox. Even now, I miss the speed of workflow that Acid had, which is still rare in newer DAWs. Of course I'll buy the upgrade.
Acid shaped who I am today ;)
