macOS is "good enough" for occasional gaming. I mean, it has a decent graphics API these days, rather nice GPUs and Steam. What else would one need?
if "ai work" is work, having dinner in a restaurant is cooking

Most of the latest AAA titles should be playable on recent Macs I would guess.
