FWIW, I can prove the square root of 2 is irrational. I was taught how to do it in my 4th year of high school by my advanced math teacher Ed Yukecko. He was a great guy and I miss him.

It's a common early task in "intro to proofs", which is the class that in many math programs separates lower division from upper division. It's very accessible, but it's not commonly taught in high school, especially today. It's a bit like knowing how to swap two registers without using intermediate storage, that is, it's a predictor that you studied the topic formally, but obviously, it doesn't guarantee that.

I agree with him. Try to keep up. That said, it's clear that you haven't read the book. Doctorow argues that training should generally remain permitted, while infringing memorization and outputs should remain actionable. Artists’ economic problems should be addressed through labor power, competition policy, and sectoral bargaining rather than another transferable copyright right. He leaves collective licensing open as a narrower mechanism but rejects individual permission as the general solution.

In fact, the section on sectoral bargaining is powerful and you should read the book so that you can be functional as an advocate instead of just being a parrot.

I didn't argue that his blog was a good framing. I am not engaging in hagiography. His book is a good entree into having a valid perspective on AI. It's not about "him", it's about the content of his book. If you want to link an article, then do that.
