I downloaded some SysEx files last night and they all worked. It is a little confusing because the app has a lower and upper sound and the SysEx import has a single sound which seemed to import to the lower (I think). It took me a bit to realize this. I turned the volume down on the other layer so I could properly hear the imported sound.

The SysEx import worked great.

Alright I tried this again, and while this time for sure I felt the vibe of the 8P and the sound of the 8P, which I didn't feel or hear the first time I played EightyTen, I am noticing a bunch of differences/irregularities between eighty ten and TAL's J8X. I'm using my custom bank of JX-8P presets which I know for sure TAL J8X replicates like the hardware. I'm getting a wide variety of differences on EightyTen...everything from wonky LFOs to envelope differences, there's some stuff being modulated in yours which isn't supposed to be modulating, sometimes the filter on EightyTen isn't as open as it is on J8X, and some patches sound completely off and dramatically different. I'm not Starsky Hutching eightyten vs the JX-8P tonight so I am not sure what is going on, and whether it is your sysex converter or the actual architecture of your synth, but there are huge differences for sure and EightyTen is not presenting my presets the way the hardware does, the way TAL J8X does, and also PG-8X because I've got those presets on there too and they sound right.

Aye! I hear you. Bear with me, while most tones already sound great, I'm still struggling with some of the JX-10 specific ROM tones, which 1.0.12 doesn't have at all yet, but I'll get there. The current working version of 1.0.14 already does it much better so it's only a matter of a few days and we'll get it sorted. Few minor bugs in the SysEx I have to iron out while I put in the MKS specific modulation parameters the JX-8P didn't have
