NI had such an attempt already in the past. Super 8 was a VST made in Reaktor. For unknown reasons its now just a Reaktor ensemble…
I do understand the price policy. They have tons of Kontakt libraries in the same category. They first have to milk the customers who don’t think about money. The others (like me) just wait for a worth while Komplete upgrade to get it.
Personally the most interesting news is an updated Reaktor coming hopefully soon. To turn Reaktor ensembles into plugins is a good move. Though these ensembles cannot be modified anymore by the end user. Like I made a MPE version of Microprism by modifying the patches…
