Is there MIDI support? There are a lot of options for audio organization, but not really for midi file playback and organization.

Can you sort your download servers speeds out. Downloading via the SonkCentral software (Already annoyed that you have a completely superfluous product manager) and its going to be about 0 minutes to download the 788MB software. Why is it so slow? It was much quicker downloading the SonikCentral software (Although still pretty damn slow).
Can you just switch to hosting the actual SonikSearch somewhere with decent bandwidth and ditch the download manager (Which as I say is incredibly slow).
I just bought this software and I'm already eyeing up the refund option.

The downloads have been hosted on servers with plenty of bandwidth. However, the issue, depending on where you are located, has been the location of the servers. I've enabled the CDN just now which replicates the available downloads to server locations throughout the world. When you access a download, it'll now pick the nearest server to you, so it should be faster.
The product manager makes downloading, installing/upgrading, activation and uninstallation a smoother process than without the product manager.

Hey everyone, it's been a while. SonikSearch v3 is out, and a few people asked to see it in action, so here's a video showing the AI search:
You describe a sound and it finds matches from your library based on what they actually sound like, not filenames. The video runs through a handful of searches so you can hear the results.
v3 also adds a sampler (drop a sound on a pad and play it from a MIDI controller or your DAW), local stem separation, AAX for Pro Tools on Windows, and signed Windows installers. Full release notes: https://sonikstation.com/soniksearch-release-notes.html
A lot of what's in this release came from requests in this thread:
@Trancit and @mordecainyc - left and right arrow both retrigger, and spacebar now always goes to the DAW.
@Sekops - more categories, MIDI triggering (in sampler mode), multithreaded indexing, and persistent settings are all in. The new auto-tagging may also cover some of what you wanted from smart collections, curious whether it does. Randomizer and autorotate are still on the list.
@mordecainyc - the new auto tag taxonomy covers percussion subcategories and sub-bass.
@twolegstoneworks - REX/RX2 support is in.
Still outstanding: MIDI file organization (@djanthonyw), start on next bar (@phreazey), and MediaBay-style attribute filtering (@qtheerearranger).
More videos coming covering the sampler and other features. And if you tried an earlier version and want another look at v3, email support@sonikstation.com and I'll set you up with a fresh trial.

...
It´s time now to trial...
One point I noticed immediately: Windows 11 absolutely refused to start your SonikCentral installer...
I really had to search for settings which disabled this protection and found finally those silly "SmartScreen" functions of Defender...
Just that you know... I never had this behaviour before with any installer... so something must let Windows think this would be a very dangerous software!
EDIT: Something else I noticed:
After having selected my samples folder for importing after first start, SonikSearch did for about 1 minute nothing...
No feedback at all if the import is accepted or not... the folder didn´t appear in the list for that time...
Perhaps there should be some indicator that it just takes a bit but that the user gets some feedback from the programm that work is in progress...

I seperate this into a second post...
I must say my first experience was a bit disappointing...
First the UI... I am an old school boy and I like to use folder structures... this is coming much too short in my opinion while many places are a huge waste of space (sorry for the missing "too" in the screenshot
):
.
Retrigger with arrow keys works great!
Tempo recognition with even complicated loops worked great too...
But testing with Bitwig I have had immediately the following issues:
- Space bar is blocked by the plugin... I have to click on the title bar to send it to Bitwig for playback start
- Autoplay doesn´t work with many loops I tested... some got triggered when I changed samples others stayed silence and must be triggered manually
So in it´s current state it´s not really useable for me ... but I fear I am not the type of user you´re targeting at...
I am not much interested in any AI and tagging stuff... it can be handy but far more important is the general useability like if it´s seamlessly working, it´s a browser... folders are an important part of a browser and shrinking it down (when window is not maximised) to a tiny friction of the UI is a no-go for me...
So for me the 2 main expectations are not checked at all atm... Ui is imho wrong, Space bar is blocked and at least 50% of loops doesn´t get triggered when changed during hosts playback = showstopper...
Feature suggestion: imho there should be an option (at least) that always the selected sample gets loaded into "something" (temporarily) to be able to trigger it via Midi and not just if you drag and drop...
Drag and drop becomes a nightmare when trying to do this with (many) multiples in a row... some kind of (temporarily) autoload would be some great help...
