This is a stunning synth.
One of the first hybrid synths that manages to make everything sound cohesive.
It's kind of uncanny. Like synthetic sounds that found their way into the real world or natural sounds that found themselves being mangled in a digital world.
It's how everything comes together is what amazes me. The reverb does not feel like a send effect, it feels like it's part of the sound.
I do find it a bit cryptic and a there are a few head scratchy UI decisions. For instance why is the AB edit button tucked away in the preset button. I feel like it should be near the big AB slider in the middle. I may be missing something but there isn't anything in the way of manuals that I can find.
But none of this takes away from how awesome this sounds overall.
It took me all of 5 minutes using it before I bought it.
Amazing work.

One perceived glitch in 2.3.3: Logic doesn't save the MPE 'on' state. Isn't it supposed to? Or do I have to re-save the preset with MPE 'on'?

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I'm struggling with the UI a little.
I think the wave (lower left is mostly fine)
The wave traingle is the oscillator shape. Somewhere in the middle is a pulse.
Noise is noise level.
FM is self explanatory.
Shadow is the level of the shadow oscillator.
Sub is self explanatory
String is the Karplus string model level and then there's a unison and detune with spread.
The body is where I'm a bit lost.
Decay=?
Heat- Some kind of saturation. Makes things darker.
Grain=?
Twist is the level of the twist modifier
Var is the impact of the harmonic variation in the material section?
I have no idea what morph and rate do?
Is it the case that you need to have a the body turned up to here what is going on in the material section. Material doesn't seem to have an effect when the body is turned down.
Some more in depth descriptions of the body and wave section would be great? (Although I think the Wave section is a lot more straightforward)

Thank you for all of this, and for buying it! I'm travelling today so this is a short one, but I'll answer everything properly once I've landed and can sit down with it.kraster wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 9:17 pm I'm struggling with the UI a little.

Quick answer to the last one though: yes, BODY needs to be turned up for anything convolution related to make an audible difference. Material and the rest of that section are shaping something that only gets heard through the body.
And you're right that there's no manual yet. I keep starting one and then getting pulled back into improving STRÄNG instead, which is admittedly more fun
I will be back!

Is it possible to control the amount of the main wave going into the body?
Can't seem to find it.
For example if I just wanted the noise going into the body is that possible?

Landed! I wrote a short guide and put it on the site: quantasticalsound.com/manual.htmlkraster wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 9:17 pm I'm struggling with the UI a little.

The BODY section is first since that's where you got stuck, and yes, most of that row does nothing until BODY is turned up. It's a start and I'll keep building on it until it's a proper manual
Thanks again for pushing me on this!

Thank you for all the kind words. After all the hours put into this, that's the kind of thing that makes it worth it.
I'm working on making the A/B dual mode more straightforward for the next update. And the reverb widening should open things up for you too. Much appreciated and helpful input!

I had so much fun yesterday with my LinnStrument. Truly expressive now with MPE support! Never had a synth with so many usable expressive presets.
It doesn’t cover all kinds of sounds, but in contrast has a unique character…
Thanks a lot…!

Thank you for that! It will be save in the next version. Please let me know if theres anything else regarding the MPE handling that could be improved.Spitfire31 wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 7:21 pm One perceived glitch in 2.3.3: Logic doesn't save the MPE 'on' state.
