You do pretty good with that midi guitar! Don't tell me the percussion was done with it.

Thanks! No, not really. The drums are loops but they were triggered by the guitar. Everything else is "live" playing...(and nearly live singingDKeenum wrote:You do pretty good with that midi guitar! Don't tell me the percussion was done with it.
Being fairly new to samples, (my first sample package was when ST2 came out) I am pretty amazed at the sounds I am starting to be able to get out of the midi and SR/IK sounds. It takes some adjustment in playing style - and there are some limitations - but it's starting to relieve some of my keyboard envy.

I have a new song, "Night Echoes", that I wrote for a game demo. It was done mostly with Sampletank, and a few instances of String Theory and Crystal. But mostly ST2. It's, uh, atmospheric electronica with classical, jazz, and arabic influences... or something.
One of these days I'm going to write a straightforward song involving a single genre.
It can be found here.

Jeez! This is really nice! Energy wise, it's like that 3rd cup of coffee. And it makes a great demo for some of the things SS2 can do.

Drum loops from Groove Capsule.
Lots of trons from Squids' Tron Collection.
Everything played through SampleTank2.
A little bit of T-RackS on the master.

Love this song! Love those trons too! This sounds like movie soundtrack music to me... in a Fast and Furious sorta way.

Kim,
I really like these loopy songs! The sounds are great too! The violin and sitar (or sitar-like) are really nice, and voices sound like you recorded and processed them - not like a keyboard patch. Really nice.

Not as talented as most on here...but I bought SS2 and Sample Tank XL on esounds and I have to say it's the best money I've spent. I mainly produce hip-hop and the like, but I would like to share an all SS2 track!Feedback if you would like.

Yes, all instruments are SS2...the drums are a loop.
Thanks for your feedback!

I composed a quick piece for fun, with Amplitube on every single track. Every drum element, synth bass, synths, and of course... the guitars! Pay no attention to my crappy guitar playing.
All the synths are from SS2, the drumkit was from the Studio Drums Capsule.
This is probably only a few hours work... so the composition is rather primitive.
Anyway, listen to it here:

Or if that doesn't work, go here:
