Surprised no threads on this. Looks like it's getting some good updates, and some Live-type features...

Post

Yeah, looks pretty awesome....especially that new synth.

Post

Yep. Multitrack audio recording and editing, freeze function plus other goodies.
Which is nice.

How's Project 5's VST support? Is it a wrapper?

Post

I was disappointed with P5 from the get-go. I actually thought it was going to die on the vine, since it didn't seem to generate any significant user group activity. Using FL5, Live 4, Audition, etc, I never really found a place for it in my studio. I'll take another look at it in its upgraded form, though, and see if it improved to the point where it can be useful.

You mean useful to you I assume as opposed to just in general. And there was no FL5 or Live4 when P5 was released.

You dumbass. He already mentioned HIS studio, so being "useful to him" was already intrinsic in his message.

Wow...harsh there bud. I'm not sure anything I said called for being called a "dumbass" and insinuating that somehow I can't read, which is utterly rediculous when you consider that reading and writing is EXACTLY how we are communicating right this minute. And technically, the fact that he mentioned his studio at some poiint in the post does not "intrinsically" mean he meant P5 was not useful to him only. It could be inferred either way by the way it is written. No matter...you inferred one way and I inferred another. I don't think our different inferences make me a "dumbass". This was strengthened furthermore to the implied comparison to software that was not even released when P5 was released....possibly further adding to any confusion.

Fine if you think my comment wasn't called for...but you might want to find a more articulate and appropriate way of saying so in the future.

And by the way (to David)...some nice artwork there on your site.

When was P5 released? I think FL is a bit older. isn´t it?
Just curious.

Yeah FL is older...but FL5 isn't. I guess I didn't think the camparison was really fair as stated. Anyway, for what it's worth I always really liked FL a lot for creating drums. FL5 looks like a relatively substantial upgrade, but I've had no opportunity to see it in action.

project 5 was an ugly unstable & unfriendly piece of shite - oh, well in my opinion anyway. i returned my copy to the dealer who gave me my money back because he'd installed it on his own machine and agreed with me !
