When the effect will be ready, I'll put several options on the website:
- Send samples for the new Granular synth
- Send patches for Solo or Granular synth
- Send an original tune made with one of our synths
- Pay for it (believe or not, the less interesting)
Does it sound fair??
nice.
very nice, indeed
hats off to you, Quintosardo - that's a grand idea

Looks like a lovely device and with a GUI that doesn't make me run for cover - congrats.
OT: Is Solo going to have an in-depth manual? It seems like a powerful synth but just looking at the complexity of it makes my blood turn to ice.

The GUI isn't mine (as you can expect
Look at the credits in the low-right corner. He is a very experienced guy, starting now with plugins.
But he is from Italy!
Yes. Solo needs an in-depth manual. And I'll write it. More, the tutorial on the website will explain with examples the functions of Solo. My problem is that I'm working very hard on these plugins and on hardware, the time is not enough. But I'll do everything planned.
I have to work, too!
I'm a little sad because Solo has HUGE possibilities, but I need to prepare a lot of presets to show it. Only the surface has been scratched...

Electric guitar is my main instrument and I love feedbacks. However feedbacks can be the same note as the original, one or more octaves higher and sometimes other harmonics can be triggered (4ths, 5ths, 3rds) from the same string. Are all these cases OK or I should stick to same note feedbacks (I think octaves are OK)?SKnote site wrote:Collect 20 different samples (wav format at least 44.1 KHz), from 2 to 10 seconds long, from an audio "event". Examples of "events" are: ... , guitar note going to feedback, ...
96K 24bit is OK?
Thanx again quinto, very nice idea.

@zeoy: I think that any of those cases should be very good.
The principle is: the new synth can span along your sample's harmonic content. If the sample has a "constant unique" pitch zone and then goes to a different harm. content, but in a nice way (like fb is), it is ok! The synth could play the first part (clean note) and in same condition span to the fb.
And we could span different samples, too. So that the synth can go to 3rd fb, or to 5 fb...
Mmmm... it's easier to do than to say
To simplify: anything "musical" and smoothly changing is perfect!
The higher the sample quality, the best it is!
I'm glad that you like this idea
