Low is a more or less local band from Duluth Mn. As a big fan of doing more with less, and a lot with chordprogressions/song structure I've been a fan for years. They're the slowest of the slowcore, but evolving as well. Not to mention some haunting vocals. Some might know them for having opened for Radiohead for one tour.
The have a new release coming out tomorrow on Sub Pop records (a switch for them from Kranky) and a new producer, David Fridman, who's worked with the Flaming Lips. I think overseas it'll be on Warp.
my wife's niece ordered a T-shirt from their merchandise page for Xmas, it came a litte late, I picked it up from great gramndma's house this weekend. it came with a little handwritten note from one of the band. kind of endearing to think of a band still workingtheir own merchandise and including thank you notes with the order
something from the new record

Sounds good, thanks for the tip. Reminded me a bit of Peter Gabriel, which is nice.
