I never was good in remembering titles and all, but here's a few that in my years after DJ'ing and prior to having a personal studio made me yearn to be able to create music myself

Lemonjelly - in the bath
Radiohead - Climbing up the walls (zero7 mix)
Craig Armstrong - Weatherstorm (think that is the title)

There are probably thousands more, but these left a big impression.

(actually nice to read about Radiohead songs here as I like them but didn't like them THIS much yet, and a friend who was at a tour after "hail to the thief" said it was the worst gig he'd ever seen  because of the famous singer; so I'll check those songs out. Okay don't kill me...)

Legendary Pink Dots: princess coldheart (when played live...)
Peter Gabriel: here comes the flood
R.E.M country feedback (again: live)
Smashing pumpkins: quite a few on "mellon collie and the infinite sadness"
Kate Bush: sat in your lap and "all the love" from "dreaming" album
Tori Amos: (I remember a little quarrel here at KVR about Kate Bush and Tori Amos) red baron (or so) from "boys for Pele)
Cure: drowning man (very old, I think from the "faith" album)
