Can the G2 load Nord2 and Nord3 patches?
Theoretically, is the sound supposed to be the same as the Nord3?
I'm kind of curious about Nords and the G2 rack doesn't seem to be much more than a Nord3 rack used.

Nope, the G2 cannot load Nord 2 or Nord 3 patches. It doesn't even load Nord Modular patches. It is strictly a G2 patch machine. There are lots of patches for download though, including some that I believe emulate the Nord synths.
I don't have another Nord synth to compare the sound to, but I can tell you that the G2 does a lot more than the Nord 2's or 3's. There are some patches out there that produce sounds the other Nord synths could never do.
