Hey Wide Boy (elevayta)! I've got a suggestion...

You want the amplitude of track 1 to control the amplitude of track 2, is that what you're saying?

Can't that already be done? :D :D

If not, you can always head over to the Betabugs Bughouse forum and suggest it. We've got a tonne of ideas on the go right now, but one more never hurt.

[edited because I said "amplitube" instead of "amplitude". I gotta get out of the IK threads. ;) ]

I've just been reading some threads on compressor sidechaining and how people (read Steinberg users) often struggle with the issues related to it, so here goes my suggestion:

"Chain Boy"

Would you be so kind to make a plugin, very similar in conception to Space Boy, which would do a simple sidechnaining (read 'ducking') job between two channels in the mixer? :D

Or am I just talking nonsense? :?:
I don't fully understand the request. Let's say you have two audio tracks and you want some property of one track to control another property of the other. In a typical side chain, I think you might take the amplitude of one track to control the attenuation (read compression) of another track. Usually, the compression is done over a specific frequency range (i.e. bass & kick) - i.e. what Space Boy can do (there are now presets for these kind of things).

So, my question is maybe - what is it that you specifically want to do that you cannot do with Space Boy in this respect?

Perhaps he means he'd like a "diet space boy"
