Output Rex Files

Hello,
I've asked this before but can't seem to find the original thread.
Are there programs other than Recycle that will output a Rex file for use in Stylus RMX?
I was looking at the SAGE Expanders and thought it would be more value to me to get something like recycle and make use of the loops I already have...
Also, what's the best price I can pick Recycle up for (perhaps someone is selling?).
Thanks.

The only libraries Propellorhead have made available for other developers are for import of REX files; so only their software (ie Recycle) does export, AFAIK.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Are you sure?CypherOne wrote:hmm Zero X's BeatCreator appears to output REX files, anyone used it?
Iwas always under the impression that the props retained rex output for themselves.

well I can't prove it 'cos their site's down. But I read on a review site that it does. Also that was the app that someone else pointed me too when I asked last time, I just forgot the name of it. I'll see if there's a demo available when their site is back on line.

here's what I read:
Zero-X BeatCreator provides tools to process your loops in many groovy ways.
After slicing the loop in BeatCreator, there are lots of tools to re-arrange, process, quantize, replace, edit, etc each slice in the loop without any use of external hardware or software.
When the loop is finished "processed", you can either export the loop as a single sample to be used in your sampler or loop based software such as Acid and others. Or you can export the slices as individual samples into a variety of file formats such as: REX, SF2, MAP, WAV and FruityLoops.
looks plausible...

Rex 1 files are mono and dont have as good compression as the rex2 format. The rex 2 format has also more tweaking option that can be applied to the file realtime.
And Recycle 2 is the only program that can output rex2 files
