Full orchestra libraries (no choir) in GIGA format

As much as I like NI and QLSO Gold, it looks like I may need to move away from using Gold for my orchestral productions because NI sucks and can't code DFD correctly. No one here, at NI, or at Northern Sounds knows how to solve the problem, and I'm clearly not the only person who's having trouble (there are numerous large threads devoted to it). So I'm thinking about picking up GS2.5 (GS3 is supposedly very buggy) and an orchestral library for it as a possible replacement.
Does anyone have any budget-conscious suggestions for GIGA-format orchestral libraries that aren't too antiquated? Or is there no such thing, and I'm stick with using Gold without DFD?

Opus 1 from VSL perhaps?
I'm going to hold out until Kontakt 2 is released before making any big decisions personally... It's coming with a load of orchestral sounds as well.

Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

$1000 is a little out of my price range, though I was considering that.

Advanced Orchestra is old, but much cheaper than Opus 1 at 550 bucks. It still has its uses I'm sure. I wouldn't give up on Kontakt just yet. Wait and see what version 2 brings to the table. My experience with Giga 3 is that it isn't all its cracked up to be. There's still bugs and I had to remove it from my system all together and had to do a clean install of everything to fix random errors that occured after its install.

I've given up after NI admits that they don't know what the DFD problem is. I doubt Kontakt 2 is going to change their (buggy) DFD architecture in any way, shape, or form. Shame on them - they've definitely lost a customerJoseph Burrell wrote:Advanced Orchestra is old, but much cheaper than Opus 1 at 550 bucks. It still has its uses I'm sure. I'll check out Advanced Orchestra.
