Just started listening to them myself. I'm still wondering how I ever did without. 2112 was an experience I'll never forget.

Everything up to (but not including ) Test for Echo is really good. I think Test for Echo was the "Phone it IN" point and just like Depech Mode, I am dissopinted by my heros. Someone who has not phoned it in is Peter Gabrial.
Back to Rush, I got an OB -8 back in the 80's because of Moving Pictures.

2112 is amazing, but I think Hemispheres is even better. Or maybe it just depends upon your mood.Just started listening to them myself. I'm still wondering how I ever did without. 2112 was an experience I'll never forget.

I have no idea what that means. They write great songs and perform them dynamically. They've got a dozen or so tunes that wrench tears from me every time. (Nearly the whole of Power Windows, but especially "Manhattan Project"). Near perfect.S_A_P wrote: They were so technical that it took away from the songs...

That's just unacceptable unless you're gonna give me a place to put it in so I can start a new life...then I can either cover 'em or burn 'em...nuffink wrote:From the nuffco collection.

I listened to them a lot as a youngster. "A Farewell to Kings" was always a favorite of mine.
