Why do manufacturers forget their older products?

Has it happened to anyone of you that you've had "positive feelings" about a stuff, but got stuck at closed doors? For example, I tried to find some demo mp3's on Korg Trinity and Yamaha CS6x but on the manufacturer’s site there was nothing or very few info. I am looking for 'old' synths such as the ones I mentioned, but keep finding the new stupid digital synths with bunch of acoustic patches.

I think if you do a Google Search for the above names, you may come across certain 'fan sites' and such still? I know at www.ex5tech.com there's good insight to other Yamaha synths when you look or ask in the appropriate forums there. (We even let you talk about Korg... But only so much!
) But I'm sure there must be Korg fan sites as well.
Bones is a Trinity man. If he doesn't bite your head off - he might give some hints to you... And THEN he'll bite your head off.
(Naw, he's a good guy!
)

There are also a good number of user groups for assorted synths on Yahoo, like the CS6X User group.
Of course, YMMV - but I have found the members on nearly all of these groups to be a bit helpful at the very least.

Bones is Bones where ever he goes.
That's right Daradei, I thought your name looked familiar. Don't feel bad - we've all had our heads bitten off by Bones at one point.
He just has a extremely ascerbic confrontational sense of humour (well, atleast I find it humourous
)

i'd just school around music upload sites for bands that put triton in their gearlist.. you can get lucky, eg. leonard hall enjoys using the 'performance patterns' on korg workstations to make some rather amusing 'music' (no clue how much of his music is around) which trnslates to good gear demos.
