now, really the only reason im sticking with reason it seems is that I have so many damn refills. Mostly what im interested in is the drums. When i load a refill drum kit into reason I see that all the drums are just .wav files. Is there a way to extract the .wav file out of the refill and use it in another program? say fruity loops.... there shouldnt be any difference using those in the FL sequencer than in the redrum one....., right?
THANKS SO MUCH!

no way to extract wavs from refills.
With a bit of work, you could sample the one shots..but as for any one prog specifically to work with refills, no.

Refills can't be 'unpacked' AFAIK. That's really the onle thing that kept me from buying many Refills ;)

I also have a Drum Trax Refill that I love, about the only thing from Reason I really want to unpack. It sure would be nice if Propellerhead opened up the Refill standard.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

ARGH! yea thats strange that they would do that... i guess its part of protecting themselves? well, im not going to sample them, thanks for the idea, but im too anal about messing it up, and too lazy also.

if anyone does know of some crazy ass freeware program that can do it, shout, hehe

thanks

Well, a quick search on Google brought up a bunch of warez sites and many forums with people asking for one. One preview on Google, although the page didn't exist anymore, says:
... 12. There was a Refill Unpacker program made a few years ago. ... files. So
dont download anything claiming to unpack reason refills . ...
Obviously missing key information, but it makes me wonder if some warez kid distributed a virus or something, labelled as a refill unpacker a while back.
