Hi,

I'm very new to orchestra and percussion. Could you all please help me out with the instrument? it's the high frequency bell like sound. sounds like 'ting ting'.

i think it's not xylophone because it's too high. or is it?

triangle would be my guess...kinda hard to hear though

maybe the sample is too short. i try to hunt for a longer and more obvious track.

I agree. The triangle doesnt sound like its playing a melody to me. If it is then its a harp and a glockenspiel.

Sounds like a Glockenspiel or Celesta. There are some free soundfonts of those instruments at www.hammersound.net in the chromatic percussion section.

Sounds to me like a celtic harp (much smaller than the regular harp) and some sort of glockenspiel.

o.k. - now I can hear it playing a melody but I'm not sure if it's the same instrument anymore

it's glockenspiel. i just downloaded a glockenspiel soundfont and it sounds like that

i thinks its a couple of triangles playing along with glockenspiel.
