I've been messing arround with this little synth for a few weeks now. I wonder if I can somehow change the engine to another language and make it speak in another language. Anyone know if this is possible?

Post

PS. Or any other text to speech I can use to generate wave files from that you know of?

Post

type the text into it in french/german etc???!!!

thjat doesn't work. the program always pronounces all words with an American accent. you can play with phonetics though if you have some notions about it, but anyway the results are poor, I can tell you.

Yes, thats exactly why I made the post. The thing wont even pronounce my name right! LOL. I need one in Italian and another one in Spanish. If I could just replace a DLL with the engine in another language, I wouldnt mind swaping DLLs everytime I needed to change languages. If it was only possible.

It might be because you misspelled "code" :P :hihi:

You can also output the demo as a wav file

Cool the link was kick ass, but I wanted the ROBOT kindda voices that the FL TXT 2 Speech does. I guess I could vocode the output. But thats one more step. Also, the ATT engine doesnt have the parameters that the FL one does, such as tone, root note, speech and such. Thanks anyway, if ya have more suggestions, or have a way to hack the FL speech engine, let me know :)

if I was a robot I could speak robotic Spanish for you...but I'm Spanish, not a robot though.
