I'm tempted to play around a bit to see if I can make my own ringtone (nothing to be sold, just something irritating as crap to wind up the general public, y'know...). I've got an Orange SPV C500 and all the ringtones seem to be .mid phones
Has anyone tried this in Cubase? Any tips?
Has anyone made their own MIDI ringtone in Cubase?

haha yeah i have
it's weird tho, after i exported it as a general-midi file, i had to use another program to set the correct patches; cos cubase seemed to make every track 'grand piano'

ive got an spv 200 and it plays standard midi files
but let's be clear it's not very good
i got a few from the net and while the have the melodies they don't play em with any style
i've not used cubase to do it tho - so.......
maybe i'll try and edit one now
