Souncard: E-Mu 1212m
Software: Cubase SX3

(all drivers up to date)

i cannot seem to get cubase to "hear" what's coming in through my 2 1/4" inputs in the daughter card. i can hear the sound playing through the speakers and i have called e-mu tech support to make sure all my settings in Patchmix are correct. How do i get Cubase to accept this data? I have followed the instruction carefully in my book about recording audio but it's just not working...Cubase is not registering any input...I have read about a program called "ASIO Direct Sound Full Duplex Setup" but i can't figure out how to open it or even locate it?
You're help is appreciated greatly

You can try this:

Press F4, which is VST connections and manages the inputs and outputs. Make a new one called "Line In" or something like that and select the appropriate input from the list. Then go to the mixer and edit the channel properties and select "Line In" as input Bus.

One other thing, see the little speaker icon above the red record button, that's the monitor button, try turning it on.
