I'm looking for a delay effect that can do auto stereo delay pans as well as good normal delay. I have become addicted to the way that the delay in reason automatically calculates a number of steps that you can set. That would be nice too.
Any suggestions?

OhmBoyz is the best delay, IMO, but it's far from free. I also like Kjearhus' Classic Delay, but it's not a multi-tap delay. It does have a ping-pong delay mode though.

OhmBoyz is great, yes.

but you have 2 very good ones for free:

1. Big Tick Dual Delay, for panning delay.

and...

2. e-phoniq Retrodelay. For me, the best delay plug in. it's not only a delay, it also has a reverb, filters, lfos and distortion included, perfect for experimentalism. my favourite effect plug in definitely.

I have both and they are really good.
either of them will make good delay for you.
