Hm, makes you think about what good modelling actually requires... so either the IK guys are a lot smarter than the MIT coding buffs at iZotope  , or something has to give in amplitube.

There are quite a lot of options to decrease CPU usage during real-time low latency monitoring.

Or maybe it's time for a new processor? (I'm waiting for a DSP card solution, which was a consideration of iZotope, as a tech support guy wrote me).

It's actually been working quite O.K for me since I switched from the WDM drivers to ASIO drivers...

to All POD maniacs.
I think Amplitude is awayyy more natural sounding from
POD or V-AMp or Guitar Rig. it is not Marshall
or Mesa.

What is "POD" = "convertor" + Software.
What is your Computer = I/O s with 24-bit / 96 kHz + Software

I own Amplitube 1  . I promise to all sceptic here.
I'll post some of my Guitar Solos from my album
recorded with Amplitube. :!:

let's hear it!

I dunno, Amplitube is my principal guitar amp, and it's got some lovely tones, but some days it just all sounds a bit samey. That and it can't do high gain to save its life (and yes, I do know about using the distortion pedal, thankyou). Finding it hard to get excited about something that looks like more of the same, when what I really want is exactly the same, only better.

Where are the .wav amplitube 2 demos? We need solo E-guitar dry, then solo E-guitar going thru the amp with no pedals.
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

What is it?

Guitar Rig or Amplitube?
Good question.
I don't think anybody can answer this with 100% certainty.
I do not own Guitar Rig and if I have to guess I would say it was NOT Amplitube.

To me Amplitube sounded more raw with better emulation of clean Fender tube amp (the only one I am after), Guitar Rig sounded more polished more synthetic almost as if I was listening to a synth and not a real guitar amp.
Of course this depends on your guitar and the sound you are after.

Can't we just agree that both of these plugs are simply great and one will be best for some people while the other will be better for the other half.

If you are talking about Guitar Rig vs. AmpliTube 1 (which is another thread's title) then yes. If you are talking about Guitar Rig up against AmpliTube 2 then that's a different story. It remains to be seen but from what I've heard this past weekend it tops it almost without question.

I like McDSP stuff although isn't it only Mac and usually TDM? Anyway, it looks cool and it is probably good but it doesn't have nearly the features of AT2 besides the multiformat compatibility. I also never hear anyone talking about it for some reason.

You probably don't hear about it much because it's Mac only. When will these companies learn :? ?
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.
