Guitarists : In case you didn't know2005-01-31T11:46:18+00:00I'm finding myself using Cortex http://www.helium.ex0.org/vst/index.html
pretty much all the time for guitar amp simulation.
It's a corker - try it out scuzzphuthttps://www.kvraudio.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2508
I tried it too and it's interresting. However I think that it sounded totally different (not better) in 96K compared to in 44.1K. Any similar experience?
I have Cortex and i like it alot, it has a few bugs though. Sometimes when i move certain sliders, it makes some annoying noise and other abnormal stuff.
haven't tried it in 96kHz, zeoy - that's a bummer.
Hellbilly - I used to love the guitar suite. I had a problem where I was getting hellish denormailsation problems which frequently maxed out my cpu, so I needed something else. Cortex is a more than able replacement.
Yeah, cortex scratches when changing the speaker modelling presets, but I can't see me ever automating that
