Think I mentioned this before, but saw this band again over the weekend. Satan's Sisters. Yup, death metal. Small club level outfit, great look, reasonable musicians, however, they do something that is just immense, and I have never heard before ....

Their signature tune .....(something else about Satan) starts with a strummed clean chord, then, whoomph, the WHOLE of the sound is thrown through a phaser. And I do mean who whole of the sound .... Guitars,Bass,Keys, drums, vocals. All through the same phaser, set at a mid modulation but tons of depth. It sounds incredible, God (or Satan) alone knows what the song was all about but as a sonic experiment it worked. Not felt as physically sick through an audio overload, since Motorhead played at our town hall years ago. Somehow can't see it working with vsti :?

....This was all on the back of getting into a Finish band called The 69Eyes. Sorta Lords Of The New Church with better songs and comically processed baritone vocals.

Anyone into Goth, give em a listen. Good stuff 8)

Sounds fun!!!

When I saw the Venetian Snares, I had to leave before the end of the gig 'cause the changes in bass level (pretty much every 2 seconds) was causing me to retch on the beat :-o

Stereolab used to run their whole live show mix through a Arp Odyssey EXT IN and out through the filter. ;)

No lie! 8)
