I´m considering buying one big 21' monitor - OR - two 19' monitors for use together with Cubase.
1. How well does Cubase take advantage of 21' monitors?
2. Some people seem to have problems using Cubase with 2 monitors. Could you give me some details, please?

i have no problems.
2 monitors is a must with SX.
so, i'd say two 19s at 1280.
but two 21s at 1600 would be better

HI
I run SXV3 with 2x19inch TFT monitors - if I was going to use a single monitor and not want my nose up against the screen I would go for something like a 36-40inch monitor - there is a lot going on!
The only problem I have is ocassionally my ATI dual head graphics defaults to single monitor view but it only takes a few seconds to reset it.

Whatever you do - DON'T get differently sized monitors for Cubase. It simply sucks for such a scenario.

Because if you want to see the arrangement, mixer, some instruments or fx or any other windows you gotta go to 1600 on a 19" monitor and still it's difficult to fit them on screen without overlap. And then all the buttons are too tiny to see. Lower res and two screens would be optimal, and get 21" if you can afford.
Of course you can resort to scrolling and toggling thru windows, and maybe SX3 has some options to configure the way cubase eats up all your screen estate...
Sorry for the rant, but this was one of the reasons I went Tracktion
