A long-time collaborator and I have set ourselves the task of making some loops for drums and bass, alone and together. These are real drums and a real bass guitar, recorded the old-fashioned way.

Anyway, I have been looking around at what is already out there and I AM STARTING TO SUFFER FROM SENSORY OVERLOAD. So my question is: For those of you who actually do use or have used loops, what would you like to see that you haven't seen or haven't seen enough of?

I am looking for specifics like: BPM, Sound quality, stylistic traits ("I need something that sounds like rhythm section X,Y, or Z"), specific time signatures, specific key signatures, chord progressions and drones, etc.

Thanks :)

By the way, we are actually good at playing our instruments. Being old men with over 40 years of collective experience.
