This is a first attempt on my part to give back to the community here. These are samples of my own drumming:Some 2 and 4 measure loops at 120 BPM

http://www.waveform.dk/showcat.php?cat= ... 1&offset=0

All the loops "provided by" john gump (top of the page right now) are mine. As you will see, two were uploaded by mistake (It was a late, late, night, sorry) but the corrected versions are now there as well, so...

If you like them there are many more on the way

hey cool thanks. 8)

120loop1 doesn't loop properly but no big deal

120loop2 is very cool indeed.

A couple of the loops are unedited. I have now uploaded edited versions of the same loops with similar names. Sorry!

Yeah, so the files called "drum loop 1" and"120loop4" were mistakes.

The corrected versions are on the same page further down, and are called "120loop1real" and "120loop4real"

I have notified the mods at waveform.dk, but that is a pretty anarchic site, so...

On that subject, does anyone know of a more supported site, or just another site, that hosts free loops??

The miking on the drums gives a nice hidden bonus: I imagine you could mix between the stereo channels to get a more tailored sound.

Thanks, M.

I am new to the world of loop making. Any suggestions regarding options (e.g. dry vs. wet samples, etc.) would be most appreciated. PM me if you can. :)

I found the snare panning to be a bit weird... usually in a mix one would place it almost dead center.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Thanks for the input.:)

I was trying to acheive transparancy, but I can see how the panning does sort of call attention to itself.

That's where my idea came it: mix the stereo channels to mono in a varying amount and it sounds different! Play with it a bit...
