for January 27th i have done something a little different but along the same lines. this one has your cliche'd Space Odyssey/THX type sound. Move the pitch wheel for best performance.

Can I join in at all?
I put together this one...

Not particularly happy with how much space these presets take up. You're looking at over 1/2 Megabyte per Combi. This is zipped to reduce the size.

I'm already using a variant of my combi in a tune. I'm doing an SS2 only tune, to see how versatile this bastard really is.

Hey this thread looks like a really good idea. I may have some to contribute in the future (once my new laptop arrives).
How's about making it a sticky..
and making an ongoing list of all contributions in the first post

hey caleb! of course you can join in man.
that's the idea i had in mind. today's combi is coming up later, but i am a little ticky-clav'd as well that they are so huge to upload. but i just have to find out where all my webspace is - about 250 megs across the internet.

Remember to zip them Tunesy. You get 1/6th the size then.Mr. Tunes wrote:hey caleb! of course you can join in man.

Hey, guys...
I just installed SS2 this morning. WOW!
Thanks very much for posting your combi's. These show me the potential of SS2, helping me to get up to speed faster. Very nice work!

January 29th we have some rhythm going on...
Rave 120
thanks for the advice caleb. can mac users access rar files?
Saviour, yes i did these patches with my limited knowledge of the engine. it would be very easy for you to do the same, all i did was go through some patches and muck with the envelopes and lfos and then you delay the crap out of them. yeah a sound designer's job description right there
cant wait to hear what you do with the synth. congrats on your new toy!
jeez thanks for listening i have a bunch of questions for you later.

I recommend against using Rar. OSX can unpack most, but not all rar files. Windows users can't do anything with a rar file unless they download and install extra software.Mr. Tunes wrote:can mac users access rar files?
I suggest using zip. It's more or less native to all major platforms, and the slightly less efficient compression is not an issue because we're dealing with relatively small files.
Forever,
Kim.

Note: I have edited this post to reflect updated addresses for my combi's.
I have a file containing three folders of SS2 combi presets, around 75 combi's in all. One subfolder contains ambient stuff, another has pads, and the third is a grab bag of stuff I call "Mutations", consisting of modified instruments, one-man band type stuff, and imaginary instruments.
You can download the file at either of the following places:
http://www.patcharena.com/modules.php?n ... Frunobulax
