Loving the demo but I have been experiencing some crackling with some sounds.

My system:
P4 2.8
cubase sx2
edirol soundcard

Can anyone help please.

Crackles ? This could be due to your cpu maxing out. This can also happen if your specified ASIO latency is too low...

I was getting a crackle in certain presets - one example is Wavesequenced Pad 03. Nothing terrible, just enough to notice and be annoyed by it. I had tried adjusting latency, etc., but with no improvement.

When I read your post, I opened a project in Sonar using this preset and to my surprise the crackle was gone. So I thought about what had changed since I last used that preset. I realized I had removed a networking card from the computer. In its place I had put a PCI to PC Card adapter which was empty. When I put a PC Card in the adapter (a USB 2.0 card), the crackle came back and was terrible. Removed the card and all was fine.

I have two belkin USB switches(peripheral switch)to connect printers, scanner, modem etc, and share one monitor, mouse & keyboard between two computers. I will disconnect these and try again.
