? for RMX + FL Studio users

I've been watching the video of Spectrum demoing RMX at NAMM 04. It makes me drool with gear lust.

For you guys who use RMX with FL 5, how does the drag n' drop work? I know in the video EP uses Logic and just drags the midi files right to the sequencer track. That can't be done in FL, right? How do you handle it?

Any other limitations I should be aware of?

Same questin here,

When opening RMX in Cubase SX3 several vst parts dedicated to it appear. You can then import many midi triggered loops through one single RMX nad control them independently to your wish.
However when we tried this in FL5 we ve found that you need to open one RMX for each midi loop that you want to use (by dragging the loop to the piano roll section of the RMX). We have noticed that the vst wrapper for RMX has a "multiple outputs" option however it seems that this is more for fx routing rather than multiple midi playing (through the same RMX)...anyway we d be very glad to hear any input on that matter as it s truly bugging us. with FLStudio 5 and RMX
FLS doens't let you drag and drop yet
so what i do....is drag and drop the MIDI file to my desktop then use FLS "import"to bring it in
the way the multiple channel chain works (not sure if FLS can do this tho)
is that you have 8 copies of the SAME channel but each one is linked to a different MIDI # (ie 1-8)
i do this successfully in Cubase but i have not personally done it in FLS

what i would do as a workaround
is develop the 8 beats i want to use
export them as waves 1 by 1
and then import them into FLS
this will save u RAM etc

iknow that sucks but maybe you know how to do it directly in FLS

drag and drop works fine in FL5.

Just set up one RMX channel and several midi out channels. Make sure the midi out channels all have the same port number as RMX channel. Change the midi out channel numbers to match the mixer track numbers in RMX.
When you drag and drop into the midi channels make sure on the import midi dialogue that you enable track 10.

The different midi out channels can then all be sent to different effects channels in the FL mixer.

Where do you get the idea that drag and drop does not work with FL5?
Just drag the patch from "drag and drop" to the RMX channel. Thats all there is...

Multiple patches such as multi's can all be routed to the same FL5 channel id they all use the same our in rmx.

If you like to use more then one patch on the same channel use Fruity's midi out to route to differend midi channels.

RMX:
Load up 8 midi outs, then RMX once. Set the ports on the midi outs of each 8 channels, to 0. Set RMXs' wrapper port to 0.
each channel in RMX (you know the little numbers at the bottom 1,2 etc) find a groove you like. then EACH number you like, drag them on the according midi out # (if you load 8 1st you'll see midi out1, midi out 2 etc)
