I was looking at buzzmachines.com last night to see if anything new was happening in the buzz scene, and i found a link to this 17 year old buzz trance producer.

This is some of the best uplifting trance i have heard, regardless of the methods used. Anyone who ever thought Buzz wasn't capable had better eat their...erm...thoughts.

http://www.gerrycueto.tk/

Some of these tracks are fantastic, really fat and uplifting trance, not the most original stuff you've ever heard but bloody incredible coming from buzz.

I might suggest you try the top 2 tracks on the list (bottom of page) and the one called "memories of tomorrow - salty rain(Gerry Cuetos D3finition Instrumental)".

I'm well impressed with this stuff, makes me want to try buzz again - the first music package that i ever got anywhere with. And the pattern system is still great!!

buzz is the only software I can work in for 24 hours without even thinking about taking a break.. no other thing in music can keep my attention for that long (I usually get bored after 2 hours)

some really nice tunes there.. thanks for the link quincy 8)

yeah this shit is bananas. b-a-n-a-n-a-s

i think i might have to try using buzz.. i tried it years ago but was expecting a tracker for some reason.. i had NO idea how modular things worked and it just didn't make sense. "drawing lines, connecting boxes?? how is THIS making music??"

that was before i learned; now i'm a reaktor obsessive and spend most of my time in that or eXT. perhaps it's time i gave it a whirl for a kick or two...

Something to bear in mind, although you might all be sceptical, is that the VST handling in buzz is MUCH better than it used to be.

That said, i beleive this guys uses ONLY buzz machines, and it proves the point that some of the Buzz developers are making good synths and FX. When i try again, i might try using no VST at all, just stick to native machines. I even saw a full mixer module for it on buzzmachines.com, with full GUI interface, EQ and other stuff done by some good buzz developers.

I'm definately gonna give it another go, like i said before the pattern sequencing system is great, and with some effort some of the synths can produce great sounds. I actually produce some passable electro-house years ago, shame i lost it all

theo - damn right, how can this guy NOT be signed. Apparently he's even had Paul Van Dyke playing a track or 2 of his. Say what you like about old PVD, but i think it speaks volumes about the commercial potential of these tracks.

It really is very sad that the buzz source got f**ked up a few years ago. this software, with another couple of years of work, would by now be an absolute monster of a modular host i'm sure.

aren't you falling into the 'Liam Howlett uses Reason' trap?

Yeah pretty much.

But f**k it, i used to use buzz and buzz alone for a couple years and it was probably my most productive time.

Plus this baby is free, not a few hundred quid like reason!!

Anyway yeah you're right, but sod it :)

these guys spend a lot of talent, dedication and time on their tracks.. I'd be happy to have 1 out of 3

they'd be making the same quality in any setup

of course it's obvious (he regularly has some dodgy harmonies in there as well) but you can hear the potential of Buzz if you ignore the mixing/mastering limitations of the user
