I have to say, I'm not impressed, but mainly cos I don't like cheesy trance.

From what I heard there was nothing new or original about his music, sounding like he was composing to fit into specific genres.

Sorry man, i don't like to criticise a fellow brighton dweller, but read the original post.

The whole point about this is that good production can come from software that costs NOTHING. I said that the tunes weren't original, but sound very well produced from a 17 year old using a piece of free software that hasn't been in development for about 4 years.

I was just pointing at that we don't all need to keep throwing gobs of cash at our hobby to get results. Thats all, it wasn't meant to be a debate about trance in the slightest.

well I listened to a bit of one track on his site. He clearly has talent but f**k if he hasn't reminded me that I hate this sort of cheesy trance wankery.

If there's one thing thats got to be offensive, its when someone takes music like this (thats clearly has heart and soul poured into it) and say its a piece of piss.

If its so easy i challenge anyone hhere to go grab a copy of buzz and make some trance thats as good quality as this.

Go on. Its easy after all.

easy? if you don't understand what's actually going on in the music then I guess you might as well state that any synth sound can be made using WaspXT

it's a very recognisable genre but it's nothing more or less complicated to get right than any other genre
