Is there a MIDI file trigger plug-in?

I am currently working on a number of things, and one of them includes a library of MIDI files of guitar strums in different speeds, with chords in all positions, and even a couple velocity levels if possible. And these won't be the keyboard equivilants, but rather the exact notes that a guitar fretboard would contain for each chord. It will sound like a real guitar strum to the normal ear.
But the problem is that copying and pasting each file in place would be a pain for the user. So is there a plug-in that will trigger a MIDI pattern or file? Not like a step sequencer. Most of these trigger their own notes, with less control than I would like. I'm personally programming every note of every chord. So I want to be able to assign a MIDI pattern or file to a certain key. Is this possible in any software? Preferably free since I could suggest using it with the chords.
Thanks for your help guys. Any ideas are appreciated!

I didn't see it when I tried the demo. I know it has a chord module, but don't you have to enter the chords directly into that module? Or is there something else I'm missing? I need to trigger my own MIDI files or patterns. Thanks.

it may be more or less intuitive than what you want, but you can easily drag and drop midi files on a midi part in energyXT. If it's a standalone midi part (not inside the energyXT sequencer) you could put all the chords in seperate parts, then trigger them however you please. Just add a new midi part, and drag and drop a couple of your midi files on there, and it should become clear.

It’s not available yet, but you might want to keep an eye out for Galleoneer’s Phrasemaster:

Thanks for the link. I will keep it in mind. The problem is, that these MIDI files will be free if at all possible, and I would prefer a way of using them easily that wouldn't cost anything. I'm guessing that maybe there isn't a way to do this? If I was better at programming, I would do it. I wonder how long it would take to program?
Basically, for those who may not understand what I'm trying to do, I want to load a MIDI pattern or file onto each key of the keyboard. Like a sampler, but instead of samples, short MIDI files. And a way of doing different "velocity layers" would be great, if I wanted to have two or three levels of chords on one key. This makes me want to learn more and program it myself. Hmm, maybe I will!

nice idea but slow, there is no option to replace what you have dropped into xt midi part.
you have to delete what is already there.
